I am not trying to defend it, but with all possible real life situations, the phone should take the maximum bends.
Coming to Note, its comes with Gorilla Glass 5, not the 6 like in Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. We tried more than 8 times drop from various angles and in the end display of the phone got cracked from 5 - 6 feet height. This is the usual height from where you will be accidentally dropping your phone during phone calls.

This is the first time Redmi has used complete glass design phone and it is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back. So lets start and perform the individual test and see what kind of construction is being used in Redmi Note 7.
Durability Test:
We will be performing sequence of durability steps on Redmi Note as below,
Scratch Test :
As mentioned above the device is using glass back which is covered with gorilla glass 5. The same is being used on the front screen also. The regular and sharp knifes doesn't make any scratches that are visible with eyes. The frame of the phone is made using Polycorbonate material. Camera lens is also protected with gorilla glass 5.Bend Test :
There was the time when the bend-gate was very common. This is still happening in few phones. We tried to bend the redmi note 7 be keeping phone under back pocket and also by manually applying force. So here is the truth.The phone may break, if you want to.

Water Test :
This time Redmi has officially confirmed that Note 7 will have splash resistance on it. Even though no IP rating is provided, so we won't recommend to try it out as if your phone got damaged with water test, there is no way to tell how did it happened. We performed 1 minute splash test on Note 7, it passed in that test though.Drop Test :
Lastly on the drop test, whats going to happen. Most of the Xiaomi phones failed on our test. Final Verdict :
