News and Updates : Windows 10 Mobile Camera update brings “Image size for main camera” option The native Camera app has received an update on Windows 10 Mobile. The update takes the app version to 2016.722.11.0. While the update doesn’t bring any visual changes if you go to settings you would be able to notice something new. There is a new option “Image Size for main camera” which has a drop-down option. On devices like Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL it should allow to change the resolution for capturing images. But on other devices like Lumia 640 / XL it just allows one to see the image size when you change image Aspect ration in settings. May be with future updates it allows changing image size on other devices too. AppRaisin is a community-based platform for keeping Windows users up to speed on the latest app releases and updates. Anyone can post news about an app, and everyone else can choose how noteworthy it is by "raising" that person's post. You can list news chronologically or by popularity. If you find an app that you want to download or read more about, you can click on the link in AppRaisin and it will take you to that app's listing in the Store. Google has rolled out an update to their official app on Windows 10, and with this update comes a new app icon reflecting Google’s new logo. The update also adds bug fixes, according to the company. “The world’s information at your fingertips. A familiar, fast, and precise way to find answers on your Windows 10 device,” the app description reads. This app offers the ability to search Google.com via an app, but you can also do that on the Google website or use Bing instead. But, to each their own. How do you scan QR codes and barcodes in Windows 10 Mobile? One question we see a lot of around these parts is how do you scan QR codes in Windows 10 Mobile ? Back in the days of Windows Phone 8.1 you could just launch the camera and dive into Lenses for Bing Vision . That app from Microsoft included a nice QR and barcode scanner, but it has since been deprecated and is not even in Windows 10 Mobile. Unfortunately, for now, the short answer to the QR question is you need a third-party app in Windows 10 Mobile. Seeing as Windows 10 Mobile is not yet complete Microsoft could still cram one in somewhere. However, we don't see this feature exactly being a priority for them either. So, what to do? TuneIn, the global radio service recently stated that the company is working on a Universal Windows App for Window s.  Today, the service’s Beta app for Windows 10 has been spotted on the Store. The company’s official Windows Phone was updated back in 2013, and it does indeed a new update. For now, you can’t install the app on your Windows 10 PC or Windows 10 Mobile – however, the app listing includes a screenshot which reveals the new app’s look: We’ll let you know once the app is available for users. Until then, you will just have to use the current TuneIn app for Windows Phone, which can be found here.

Should you be rocking  Windows 10 Mobile , you'll want to check out  Truecaller  as the popular app has been released with a gorgeous new UI. For those unfamiliar with what Truecaller does, it's an app that helps you see who is calling you, identifying numbers you've not seen before, as well as blocking spam. The release for Windows 10 Mobile currently sits on version 5.9. Global radio app TuneIn, which offers streams for more than 100,000 stations and 2 million on-demand streams, have not updated their Windows Phone app since December 2013. This does not mean they have given up on Windows Phone however. On Twittter they have told a Windows Phone user that they are working on delivering a Universal Windows 10 app. TuneIn’s twitter support also said the app will be available this fall, likely to coincide with the release of the OS around November. Despite the fact that the app has not been updated in a while it is still well liked, and with popular titles taking up the Universal Apps banner it seems there may be some momentum behind Microsoft’s latest app innovation after all. The app, which is still in open beta, is now available for all Windows 10 Mobile users, Lumia and non-Lumia, and can be selected specifically as your CallerID provider using the APIs in the OS.
