The Google Pixel 2 devices are launched with new redesigned pixel launcher. As of now we are not sure it will be exclusive to Pixel 2 phones or it will come to previous year pixel phones. So lets try to install the new pixel 3 launcher using Nova Launcher.
For better user experience we are sharing nova launcher backup file to get the same layout that we have shown in the video demo. With the steps mentioned below you can change it in the way you wanted to.

Files Needed
You may need following applications in order to create this setup,
- Another Widget (for Google Widget on Top)
- Nova Launcher
- Nova Launcher Prime (Optional)
- Google Wallpaper
- O Icon Pack (paid)
- Pixel Icon Pack (free)

Step to Create Pixel 2 Launcher
- Remove all the app shortcuts from Dock
- Go to 'Nova Setting > Dock'
- Change dock background transparency to 100%
- Enable Dock as overlay
- Go to 'Nova Setting > Desktop'
- Change desktop Grid to "8 * 5"
- Disable persistent search bar
- change 'Height padding' & 'Width Padding' to medium
- Go to 'Nova Setting > Apps & widget drawers'
- enable swipe to open
- Go to home screen of your phone and remove all the icons from the dock.
- Now add a Nova widget for adding a google search widget. Long press on it and click on edit button and select the shape which is rounded from corners.
- Drag that search bar to the dock.
- Add your favorite apps shortcuts above to it and align according yourself.
- You can optionally long press icon to see the edit option and remove the app label also.

If you don't want to with that setup steps manually try to download the nova launcher backup file and import on your nova launcher to get the setup done.

Steps to Restore backup file
- On your Android device, open the app drawer
- Tap the menu button (three dots in the top right corner)
- Tap Nova Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Backup and Import
- Tap Restore or Manage Backups
- Tap Browse
- Locate and tap the backup from Drive ("2017-10-03_Pixel 2.novabackup")
- When prompted, tap OK. (Long press on file browser and select if one tap is not working)
