Gupta Information Systems: how to install xposed framework on nougat

This post will guide you on how to install the latest Xposed Framework SDK 25 on Android Nougat 7.0 and above. Xposed is now officially available on Android Nougat from 7.0 to 7.1.2, Also see how to root your device with latest Magisk Manager.

Warning

Rooting is not safe and not easy, It may brick your device or may loss your data.
Installing Xposed Framework may brick your device.
Take proper backup before you proceed.
If you are not sure then don't try these.

Minimum Requirement

There are few set of minimum requirement also,

Your device must be ROOTED. For latest rooting guide follow this link.
You should have TWRP Recovery installed. See how to install TWRP without ROOT.

Files Needed

You may need one or more files to install the Xposed Framework. Download files as needed,

To know the proper system architecture use any of the "CPU X" or "CPU Z"
Latest Magisk (13.3)
Magisk Manager (5.1.0)
Magisk manager (5.1.1)
Magisk Uninstaller
Xposed Installer 3.1.1. Direct Link | Official Link

Installation Steps

Assuming you have ROOTED your device with TWRP installed. Now I will recommend to root using Magisk Manager, as it has own benefits over super su. I am showing steps for ARM 64 bit file. You can pick files according to your device.

Copy the needed files on Internal Storage
Go to TWRP Recovery
Under Install section browse the file "Xposed-SDK25-Nougat-ARM64-by-PurifyOS.zip"
Flash this file and Wipe Cache' after that.
Reboot the system.
Once you are back, this step is only required if you have rooted using Magisk. Reboot back to TWRP Recovery and under install flash the file "XposedMagisk-SDK25-ALL.zip".

Wipe Cache' after that.
Reboot the system.

Once your are back, make sure to give the super su permission from the Magisk and app permission from settings under apps.

Fix Download Error

Since the current Xposed framework is in early stage for Nougat platform, there could be some issues when you try to use this. As of now you will not be able to download and install any build with current build. There is a quick work around for this also. Watch the below video to see the fix,
