Alcatel W10M under certification

Rumored Windows Phone : New Windows 10 Mobile flagship device from Alcatel passes WiFi certification

Alcatel is apparently preparing a flagship device powered by Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile operating system. We’ve heard about the handset a number of times over the past few months. The alleged device was spotted on GFXBench back in March, and some press renders of the handset were also leaked by the prolific Evan Blass on Twitter. Now, it seems that we may get to see the handset officially in the coming weeks.

Recently, the purported Alcatel’s Idor 4 Pro passed through WiFi certification (via NPU). Unfortunately, the handset which passed through WiFi certification is for T-Mobile with no global variant in sight at the moment. It’s possible that Alcatel Idol 4 Pro is only destined to T-Mobile in the United States, but we can’t be sure until the handset is officially announced by the company.

Rumors suggest the handset will come with an enormous 6-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels with a Qualcomm Snadragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM on board — the benchmark listing revealed 2GB of RAM, but it could just be a prototype device, and the original handset is expected to come with more RAM. Other leaked features include 20MP camera for photos and videos, 64GB of internal storage and yes, Windows 10 Mobile as its operating system.
