Microsoft is widely expected to announced two new smartphones, both running on Windows 10 Mobile, later this fall. Now a new report claims that those phones will be given the Lumia 950 brand name, rather than the Lumia 940 name that's been used by other media outlets when reporting on these rumors.

Cityman and Talkman

The report comes from noted gadget news source Evan Blass, using his @evleaks Twitter account. He presumably got this information via unnamed sources:
"Confirmed: Cityman and Talkman will be branded Lumia 950, not 940."
Blass previously posted renders of both phones. Despite his "confirmed" label, the Lumia 950 report has yet to be officially confirmed by Microsoft. Indeed, the company has not commented at all on the many rumors of its two upcoming phones, so as always take reports from Blass and others with a grain of salt.

However, his new report does seem to jibe with what we have heard about the name of the phones, which we have labeled as the Lumia 950 (Talkman) and Lumia 950 XL (Cityman) in the past.
