Microsoft Lumia Windows 10 phones news: Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL could replace Lumia 940 generation
Ever since Microsoft broke the news about writing down billions of dollars related to its acquisition of Nokia's devices and services division and removing 7,800 employees globally, the Lumia Windows 10 phones rumor mill has been working overtime. New reports have been surfacing every other day speculating about Microsoft's possible smartphone strategy, with some expecting the company to manufacture phones for at least the next two years, with others claiming six new Lumia smartphones would arrive next year. On Monday, Terry Myerson, executive vice president of the Windows and Devices Group, while speaking at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference, even confirmed in a statement that the company would announce new premium Lumia smartphones running Windows 10 pretty soon.

This piece of news has come from a Chinese tech blog dedicated to Windows Phone, named WPXAP, which claims that Microsoft will unveil the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL as its newest flagship duo, thus giving the Lumia 940 a skip. Both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL will ship with Windows 10 Mobile out of the box and are expected to be released between October and November this year.
